Accessibility within the Township of Cramahe

The Township of Cramahe is working to become a fully accessible community by 2025. The Township is dedicated to removing existing barriers and preventing new barriers that could potentially prohibit/prevent any individual from participating in community life in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and Accessibility Directorate of Ontario.

The mission of The Corporation of the Township of Cramahe is to be the friendly community of choice for living, working and playing by providing each resident value added services, support and a superior quality of life.

In fulfilling our mission, The Corporation of the Township of Cramahe strives at all times to provide its goods and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We are also committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to access our goods and services and allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same place and in a similar way as other customers.

2021 Accessibility Plan Status Update (Updated December 2021)

The Township of Cramahe is currently reviewing its progress of its implementation of the strategies outlined in its accessibility plan as required by O.Reg 191/11 s.4(1), 4(3): Accessibility Plans. The following documentation is currently under review;

Updated Regulation/Policy/Plans will be made available and posted to this website upon completion – Proposed completion date: September 2022.

In addition, all Township properties, lands, and buildings are currently under evaluation for compliance with the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.

The Province of Ontario has developed accessibility standards for all private, public, voluntary and not-for-profit organizations. Please review the Township of Cramahe Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation Policy for more information on our standards.

The Chief Building Official is responsible for Accessibility in the Township of Cramahe and can be emailed with your questions at dbutwell@cramahe.ca
