Welcome to Let's Talk Cramahe

Council relies on advisory boards and committees to provide recommendations on issues within the Township, and draws on the expertise of citizen volunteer members. Council invites you to volunteer your time and experience to participate on such boards and committees dealing with issues ranging from heritage buildings to community facilities and roads to local community events. To recognize, promote and strengthen the sense of community, diversity and multiculturalism, all residents are encouraged to get involved. Committees are appointed for a term concurrent with Council. If you are interested in applying for a Board or Committee, please contact our office at info@cramahetownship.ca or 905-355-2821 or click on Documents for an application. Who is Eligible?Township of Cramahe property owners and/or residents, who are at least 18 years of age (unless it is a youth appointment) are eligible to apply. For certain committees, there may be additional qualifications which are indicated in the application form.

On Our Way ~ Let's Plan Together!

In small communities like ours, information can travel fast – sometimes too fast to be accurate! Have you heard something that made you raise an eyebrow in disbelief? Are you just doing your part to make sure information you pass along is true? Then What the Fact?! is your space to cut through the misconceptions and sort out the facts: what’s real, what’s rumor, and what’s really weird but nonetheless true. Stop on by and find out the latest. We’ll give it to you straight. The Township of Cramahe has developed this new engagement site to give more transparency by making each question and answer submitted through this platform viewable to the community. 

What the Fact?!

This project has been in the process for multiple years and numerous unexpected delays and setbacks have been experienced. The staff at Town Hall would like to give an update on what has been accomplished to date and outline the next steps that are being taken to ensure the progress of the project. Maybee Lane safety and repairs completed June 2022. Lower Tier of Promenade work done January 2023 ~ Landscaping rocks removed for safety, please note this   Immediate work was done to ensure safety. Concerns of the promenade such as Stairs, Railings and Ramps are priority Further public consultation will be brought forward in the near future if you would like to leave your ideas or suggestions for the lower area of the downtown core please do so in the link below.

Planning is responsible for the long-range planning of Cramahe, including managing land uses and promoting efficient and effective development.Implementation of the Township’s Official Plan policies is accomplished through the use of a number of different tools, including site plan control, secondary plans, part lot control exemptions, zoning, subdivision approval, Committee of Adjustment, ongoing policy development, and review of previous land use decisions.Planning works closely with building services, engineering and economic development to respond to general inquires related to land use in the Township as well as specific inquires related to development applications.Here you will be able to see, review and comment on active planning applications.
