Downtown Core What's Next
This project has been in the process for multiple years and numerous unexpected delays and setbacks have been experienced. The staff at Town Hall would like to give an update on what has been accomplished to date and outline the next steps that are being taken to ensure the progress of the project.
Maybee Lane safety and repairs completed June 2022
Lower Tier of Promenade work started January 2023 -Landscaping rocks removed for safety
Immediate safety concerns of the promenade such as Stairs, Railings and Ramps are priority
Further public consultation will be brought forward in the near future if you would like to leave your ideas or suggestions for the lower area of the promenade or future ideas for the downtown core please do so in the link below.

Once spring or weather permits we would like to finish the lower promenade area to meet the needs of our residents and tourists in the immediate future. Would you prefer outdoor seating space with shade or large urns with flowers. We want to hear from you, what are your thoughts.....
